Jessica Kesselman / Program Director & CSA Coodinator / Rockland Farm Alliance

These days, we are living on the extremes, with each of us in an urban or a rural community (Dorothy in Brooklyn, Taylor in the North East Kingdom of Vermont), and we don’t often spend time thinking about the suburban wilderness in between. If you’ve ever thought to yourself, ‘I could never live in a suburb.’ then Jessica’s story might be the one to make to you think twice. Chris Durso / Creator & Main Contributor / Foodiggity.com

There are a lot of negative issues that can come up around the topics of food and the environment, but we do our best to maintain an optimistic outlook, especially in the context of paving your career path. Wendel Davis / Co-Founder & CEO / Kitchensurfing

The best part about people coming together for dinner (or breakfast or lunch or an afternoon snack) is how each individual contribution creates a uniquely whole experience, beyond the food that’s literally brought to the table. Wendel is just one of the brainiacs behind the online company Kitchensurfing, and his focus on community as an essential component of eating is the real driving force behind this online tool. Essentially, Kitchensurfing is making more great meals happen, and you can too.

Ali Rudel & Ben Filippo / Bottom Line Coordinator & Chief Preservationist / This & That Jam

It’s not uncommon for people who haven’t met us face to face to mistake us for a husband and wife team, since the name ‘Taylor’ can easily be unisex and we are a pair in how and what we often think and do. Even those who do meet us in person assume we’re sisters, or can’t keep track of which one is which. So we’re excited to feature an actual husband-and-wife duo who also finish each other’s sentences, and are equally committed to great food for the greater good. Savor their serendipitous stories, take their advice, and pay them a visit if you’re lucky enough to be in the great state of North Carolina, where they headquarter This & That Jam.
