Job description
Our NYC-based premium food brand is looking for an aggressive and motivated Sales & Marketing Director. Accounts include national specialty chains, independent regional retailers, foodservice clients, as well as the distributors and brokers that service these channels.
The company is a category leader, and is currently looking for someone with extensive sales management, marketing and business development experience.
The ideal candidate can:
· Knowledgably articulate the benefits of an emerging food brand
· Grow and maintain retailer, distributor and broker relationships
· Successfully sell-in products to both new and existing customers
· Create and implement marketing strategy, including grassroots and experiential initiatives
· Generate marketing collateral
· Manage trade show and event participation
· Assist with social media build-out and Google analytics
Our brand of artisan products is currently sold in over 1,000 locations nationwide. Retail partners include Williams-Sonoma, Whole Foods, Dean & DeLuca, Zabar’s, Murray’s, The Fresh Market, and many others. Our products are served in some of the nation’s premier restaurants and hotels, and have been featured in The NY Times, Food & Wine, The Food Network and many other shows and publications.
Experience: Four+ years of sales and marketing experience with an emerging food brand or mid-sized CPG. A college degree is required, preferably in marketing or communications. An MBA in marketing is a plus and will be remunerated accordingly.
Compensation: base + commission.
