Job Description Greenling is a fast-growing, socially and environmentally responsible company born and raised in Austin. We also have a budding location in Dallas/Fort Worth and are expanding to Houston! We're small so we need someone flexible enough to switch hats whenever needed. We like to add team members for the long-run, so as the company grows you grow your position into something that keeps you challenged and happy. Our primary business is a residential delivery service that works with local farms and organic producers to bring fresh, organic produce, dairy, meats, breads, and groceries right to people's doors. Customers go online to place their order and we pack and deliver them weekly. We all love what we do and have fun at work! Job Description:
You will be working for our regional marketing team to grow and implement an active marketing campaign and event calendar in Houston. Your primary goals are managing events, creating exciting visual and written content for our various channels, and managing those channels.
Tasks include:
=Event Management - find/respond to events to align with, coordinate Greenling presence at events, ensure proper exposure, evaluate benefit of event afterwards
=Community Outreach - identify and build relationships with organizations and individuals who are excited about sustainability and local food
=Partner Coordination - help implement campaigns with and for our partners
=Gather information on and respond to incoming requests for marketing/advertising opportunities, i.e. silent auctions, events, etc.
=Online Content Management - local box blog, newsletter, website content creation and updating in-line with our SEO/SEM and messaging goals
=Social Media - monitor and implement social media campaigns
=Creative Content - create marketing collateral for various campaigns
=Farmer Highlights - help take photos and write articles that feature our farmers
=General Video Content - informal videos about all kinds of things - Local Box, staff, farmers, events, etc.
=Metrics Tracking/Evaluation - track, review, and evaluate performance of regional marketing activities; make suggestions for improvement
=PR - assist marketing team with media relations in Houston

Basic Qualifications
=Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, journalism or related field OR some experience in a marketing environment such as an advertising agency, public relations firm or corporate marketing department
=Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle tasks for multiple projects to completion
=Strong understanding of brand alignment and Greenling's mission
=Clear, persuasive and grammatically correct writing skills (samples will be requested)
=Understanding of consumer-focused marketing
=Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholder audiences (customer, vendors, community organizations, investors) with clarity, sincerity, enthusiasm and empathy
=Ability to use spreadsheets and digital tools for metrics tracking/evaluation
=Desire for continuous learning and ability to take on greater responsibility over time

Specialized skills/experience
=Significant skill with standard business applications (word processor, spreadsheet, database)
=Experience with photography, photo-editing, and graphic design strongly preferred
=Experience with web-based or desktop marketing/design applications, such as email marketing systems, Adobe design applications, content management systems, blogging software, etc.
=Understanding of direct marketing principles, tools and techniques
=Understanding of online marketing principles, tools and techniques, including social networking and advertising
=Ability to take strategic direction while providing input into processes based on customer/community interaction
=Ability to reliably deliver projects and meet deadlines to implement a comprehensive schedule-driven marketing calendar

This will be a full-time, W-2 position with entry-level pay based on experience.
