In addition to teaching courses within the majors, all faculty members contribute to the interdisciplinary Environmental Liberal Arts General Education Program. Assistant/Associate Professor of Sustainable Food Systems
The prospective faculty member will have both academic and practical expertise in sustainable food systems and be well-respected in this emerging field. The ideal candidate will have a background in nutrition, community development, food policy, and/or food justice, as well as a demonstrated ability to teach in a highly-interdisciplinary environment. Teaching duties will focus primarily on distance-based graduate-level courses and advising in Sustainable Food Systems and residential undergraduate coursework and advising in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Production (SAFP). Demonstrated administrative experience is a plus, as this faculty member will quickly assume leadership roles within the innovative graduate or undergraduate program. A PhD in hand is preferred.
