Job description
Well-known novelist, magazine writer, and restaurant critic with an office in the West 70’s needs a Personal Assistant to handle website, newsletter, files, phones, appointments, organization of office, liaison with charity, shopping, paying bills – everything I would do myself if I had more time.
Knowledge of New York and an interest in food and restaurants is a definite plus. Casual work atmosphere. 18 hours a week, hours flexible, but must be weekdays. Attention to details and computer skills (Mac/Word) are essential. Good phone manner, knowledge of NYC restaurant scene, and previous office experience preferred.
Ideally, applicants will have:

Command of various social media sites (Tumblr, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter)

Basic photo editing skills (iPhoto, Photoshop) - Ability to multitask and take initiative

Familiarity with blogging platforms, content management systems, SEO, and basic HTML are strongly preferred
