Good Food Jobs is seeking an Outreach Intern to help expand coverage of diverse good food jobs across the country (and the globe).
ABOUT GOOD FOOD JOBS
Based in Brooklyn, NY, Good Food Jobs is the first online job search tool for people who want meaningful food work. it was created by Taylor Cocalis and Dorothy Neagle as a way to strengthen the food economy by encouraging its growth and exploration. The site and its accompanying gastognomes blogs are used to educate people about the multitude of ways one can embark on a food-related career.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The GFJ Outreach Intern works independently to identify businesses and organizations within specific categories that are committed to sustainable food and/or food culture.
The Outreach Intern would maintain close contact with the founders of Good Food Jobs, but could complete the work from any location. This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about the food industry to gain exposure to a host of other food-related companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Research businesses and organizations that are aligned with the Good Food Jobs mission and goals

Compile data, create and organize spreadsheets

Draft and distribute email communication

Communicate on a regular, predetermined schedule with the founders

Deliver feedback, insight and suggest new ideas for outreach growth
This is a 3-month internship starting in mid-January, 2011 and will be compensated with our undying gratitude and support. Students are welcome and encouraged to apply.
