Job Description ABOUT US

Evan the Forager is a small foraging company based in Camden, ME. Founded by Evan Strusinski in 2009, Evan the Forager provides restaurants with over 200 species of the highest-quality, freshest wild plants and mushrooms. ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for new or experienced foragers who are interested in wild foods from a culinary, ecological, or historical perspective. You would work with us in the field, learning about the products we carry, how to locate and identify them, how to gather them. You would also assist with sorting and packing of product and communicate with restaurants. We move around as the season progresses and you may participate in any of these locations/ time periods:

PENNSYLVANIA (greater Philadelphia area): April

VERMONT (southern central): May-June

MAINE (mid-coast): July- October

Note: this is an unpaid internship, unless otherwise arranged. Depending on interest, experience, and commitment, it can be a paid position. Room and Board are offered.
