Job Description Sustainable Nantucket is seeking an agricultural intern/ apprentice to participate in our Apprenticeship program on Nantucket Island, off the coast of Massachusetts from mid-May or early June through the 2nd week in October. Successful candidates will be paired with a small, diverse, organic farm that grows produce for restaurants, CSA customers and to sell at the Sustainable Nantucket Farmers & Artisans Market, Apprentice will vend at the Market on behalf of the farm, and experience and participate in many aspects of small-scale farming in our sensitive island environment, from greenhouse cultivation to field planting and harvest, and possibly in restaurant delivery. Apprentice is paid by the farm at the rate of between $9 and $12 per hour. There are also group activities and required reading / responses.
