Dynamic hospitality consulting agency in San Francisco, representing high-profile clients in the restaurant, hotel and beverage industry, seeks entry-level Public Relations Account Coordinator to join our fast-paced agency andp assionate team!
Requirements for Position:
Pro-active, highly organized PR or journalism professional with a sense of style and excellent writing skills – food,wine and hotel knowledge is a must! We are looking for an energetic candidate who has great leadership qualities, a self-starter attitude and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Agency experience preferred, but not required.

Requirements for Position:

Responsibilities Include:
- Draft e-newsletters, press releases and media alerts for multiple clients, as needed
- Assist with the preparation of regular activity reports and report to agency president and supervisor
- Develop and maintain press lists
- Assist with event planning and execution
- Participate in the creation and execution of strategic PR plans and publicity campaigns
- Assist with social media outreach and management for multiple clients
- Stay on top of top industry trends in the food and hospitality industry; present ideas to clients on an ongoing basis
- Report on industry trends
- Work productively and collectively with all team members to hit timelines and manage action items
- Represent AF&Co;. at notable industry events
Job Requirements:
- 1 – 3 years of public relations agency experience preferred, but not required
- Excellent communications professional with in-depth knowledge of AP style and strong writing skills
- Passion and excitement for the restaurant and hospitality industry
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with a sense of urgency, while not losing sight of goals and details
- Proactive communicator, comfortable with positively interacting with clients and team members
- Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Cision
- Operate under strict deadlines and high levels of confidentiality
- Attendance at evening and weekend events, as needed
- Salary range is $15 - $20 per hour, based on qualifications. Compensation will include base salary and business development/performance bonuses. Full benefits package including medical, dental etc. plus 401 (k). Locally based candidates preferred.
