Job Description
Farm in Malvern, PA (Chester County) seeks a caretaker / property manager responsible for rotational livestock management, organic pasture development, and farm maintenance. He/she works with property manager and gardener to take care of livestock, manage pastured rotation, and develop restoration plans for fields and farm.
Position includes daily care of property, cattle and chickens (and possibly other livestock), and potential to develop orchard and vegetable production on site.

Job Description
Farm in Malvern, PA (Chester County) seeks a caretaker / property manager responsible for rotational livestock management, organic pasture development, and farm maintenance. He/she works with property manager and gardener to take care of livestock, manage pastured rotation, and develop restoration plans for fields and farm.
Position includes daily care of property, cattle and chickens (and possibly other livestock), and potential to develop orchard and vegetable production on site.
Responsibilities
- Livestock pasture rotation: cattle, and chicken rotation in fields; 'mob grazing' implementation with beef cows
- Livestock care; disease monitoring and prevention Pasture improvement planning and management, increasing diversity of forage in pastures
- Implementing Organic Best Management practices for pastures and livestock
- Coordinating and implementing farm improvement and restoration projects with gardener and property manager, subcontractors etc.
- General property and landscape maintenance
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with cattle (with additional livestock experience preferred)
- Organic farming, gardening, and agriculture experienced Experienced in farm equipment operation, maintenance
- Carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical skills preferred
- Ability to lift 50+lbs and work in all weather conditions and seasons
- Familiarity with organic soil & pasture building practices (biodynamic, permaculture, agroforestry, and/or silvopasture knowledge a plus)
- Transportation to farm site needed, but potential for on site living at farm house
- Self-motivated and directed, ability to manage farm projects
