Job Description About the Company: Boulder Ice Cream is crafted in the Rockies. Handcrafted and batch churned, our ice cream is super creamy! Our ice cream has very little air which means the texture is very rich. We are proud to be using only all natural and organic ingredients. 100% of our milk comes from local farms and is from cows that are not treated with the rBST hormone.

We are a sustainable manufacturer, which means we do some really cool things to have as little negative impact on the environment as possible. We use 100% wind power, and we use it sparingly. To make 50,000 gallons of ice cream, our plant uses no more electricity than 4 average US homes! We divert 80% of our solid waste away from landfills through recycling and composting - when you find us doing an in-store demo, we use compostable cups and pressed wooden spoons.

About the Position: Job entails working on a team of 3 preparing ice cream mixes for freezing, loading ice cream machines with mix, and dispensing finished ice cream into bulk containers and pints. This job requires constant lifting to shoulder height and prior ice cream making experience on Emery Thompson or Carpigianni machines is a bonus. This person will also be responsible for end of day cleanup and setting the room for the following day as well. Again, this job requires a lot of lifting to shoulder height and carrying of 30-40 buckets of mix.

Requirements:

• Applicant needs to be in good physical condition to lift 40 lbs to shoulder height repeatedly and be able to work on their feet all day at a rapid pace.
• Applicant needs to be familiar with kitchen measuring units (ounces, cups, gallons, lbs and kilos) and conversion thereof.
• Applicant must be detailed oriented and correctly follow detailed instructions.
• Applicant must be able to eat ice cream -- each batch must be taste tested.
• Must be able to work both 6am-2pm and 7am-7pm shifts.
