RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Pasteurization of all products labeled “pasteurized.” This also includes: starting the make for all lactic cheeses and buttermilk (transfer, pasteurization and culturing thereof), pasteurization and “standardization” of yogurt milk (cooking to desired SNF for consistent make of yogurt), and cleaning and maintaining of all pasteurization, processing, and filling equipment
- Close collaboration with the Head Cheesemaker and Creamery Manager to establish work load requirements and ensure plant-wide compliance with all regulations, health codes and internal SOPs
- Assisting in the production and packaging of all raw aged products as needed
- Assisting with receiving, processing, and fulfilling of weekly wholesale orders as needed
- Previous experience managing production of yogurt and soft cheeses
- A demonstrated commitment to product innovation
