Job Description Key Group Worldwide (KGW) is an integrated public relations and strategic marketing agency in New York City, specializing in the hospitality, culinary and entertainment sectors.  Clients include celebrity chefs, notable restaurants and exclusive hotels. Responsibilities include attending brainstorming sessions, creating press clippings, administrative tasks and assisting with events and openings.  

KGW creates custom-tailored, meticulously conceived and flawlessly executed branding and media campaigns for both individual and corporate clients. Clients benefit from KGW’s diversified and talented staff that maintains a classic hands-on approach to client relations.   

KGW is seeking motivated, professional and creative interns for our Fall 2014 internship program. The program provides mentorships and valuable, hands-on experience for students have a passion for culinary and hospitality public relations. Interns will have the opportunity to assist on projects with celebrity chefs and contribute to brainstorm sessions with executives in the company. Note: Candidates must be currently enrolled college students, seeking academic credit to fulfill their curriculum.  

Interns will:
  • Attend creative brainstorming sessions
  • Pitch new story ideas for clients
  • Attend menu tastings
  • Assist with new restaurant openings
  • Work directly with Director of Publicity  

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and updating media lists (print, television & online) Crafting and monitoring press clips
  • Administrative assistance
  • Drafting press releases
  • Competitive set research
  • New business research  

Candidates must be resourceful, pro-active, reliable, creative, dedicated and are able to efficiently multitask. Candidates must be able to work well within a team and take the initiative to work on independent projects, when needed. Strong written and communication skills are a must. Proficiency in InDesign and Microsoft Office is preferred.
