ABOUT US:
Sfoglini is a Brooklyn based producer of small batch, freshly extruded pastas made from some of the finest organic flours produced in America. We use traditional Italian bronze dies which give our pasta a textured, porous surface and we air dry at low temperatures to preserve nutrition and flavor.
Sfoglini also creates a number of unique seasonal pastas using local ingredients and spices from city gardens, breweries and other restaurants. Some of our partnerships include a Bronx Brewery spent grain pasta, a bronze fennel pasta with Riverpark Restaurant and an organic New York State whole-grain/whole-wheat or rye pasta with stone milled flour from Wild Hive Farms in Clinton Corners, NY.

JOB DETAILS:
Approximately 50% of the job experience will be learning how to create specialty pastas and how to work with a pasta extruder. Other responsibilities will include:
- Labeling and packing pasta for retail
- General shop maintenance (cleaning kitchen & machinery, dish washing)
- Helping prepare dishes for pasta demos/tastings
- Packaging shipments for online orders and UPS pick-up
- Making occasional deliveries to customer's stores and restaurants
Sfoglini is based in Brooklyn in the old Pfizer building located at 630 Flushing Avenue, with easy access to the Flushing stop on the G-train, or the Flushing stop on the J or M-train.
