Job Description
New York pickle company Rick's Picks is looking for a vendor/driver to work at the Greenmarkets in NYC every Saturday starting 9/6/14 and ending 12/20/14. This job entails transporting our loaded van from Kingston, NY to both Union Square and Grand Army Plaza, as well as selling product at the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket. Product and materials must be returned to Kingston afterwards, though no unloading will be necessary.
It is a long day, starting at approximately 4 AM and ending around 8 PM. Hours will shorten slightly as the season progresses. Rick's Picks will provide its own van.
Pay for the day is $250.00 on the books. The job is Saturdays only. Work begins on Saturday, September 6th.
Desired qualities:
- has farmers' market sales experience
- is reliable, organized and self-motivated
- is people-oriented and enjoys sales work
- is punctual, as we get fined if we are late to the markets
- can handle working a long day
- can commit to the whole season (ending 12/20)
- has a valid driver's license, clean record
- can lift 50 pounds
- sense of humor & ingenuity welcomed!
