Job Description Job Summary: The Program Director develops, organizes, conducts, and evaluates RAFFL Program Activities.

The Program Director works under the supervision of the Executive Director and is responsible for assisting RAFFL to successfully connect the community with local foods, assist the farmers in the community, and strengthen the local economy.

Primary Responsibilities

Admin:
  • Lead planning and conduct evaluation of programs and activities.
  • Analyze the cost, effectiveness and mission-fit of programs and activities.
  • Assist with identifying organizational needs and program design, including during the grantwriting and budgeting processes.
  • Work with Executive Director to recruit and hire new program staff.
  • Ensure grant requirements for programs, including budgeting and reporting, are accomplished.
  • Assist in developing and participate in the organization’s fundraising efforts.
  • Secure in-kind donations to support programs.
  • Participate in fundraising contacts with individual donorsProgram Supervision and Implementation.
  • Supervise, train, support and give critical feedback to program staff and volunteers.
  • Coordinate the planning and operation of all programming.
  • Facilitate communication between RAFFL’s program staff, interns and volunteers, partners and other stakeholders, as appropriate.
  • Provide marketing and promotional support for RAFFL and its programs.
  • Assist with compiling, securing, and conducting the activities of grants for the organization.
  • Evaluate and document the successes, challenges and progress of the programsVolunteer and Intern Coordination.
  • Create a structured and vibrant volunteer and intern program.
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteer and intern involvement in various projects.
  • Manage recognition efforts for volunteers and interns
Position Details
  • This position is full-time and year-round. This is a salaried position.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience. Hours of work require some nights and weekends for special events.
  • Mileage for required travel is reimbursed.
