To accomplish this, we focus on the production of local, pasture-based food to nurture our Bay Area communities and families. We sell our branded beef, pork, lamb, goat, poultry and eggs into the marketplace to accounts throughout California.

Director of Sales
The Director of Sales has the experience, dedication, and passion to manage and grow our sales department while overseeing pricing structures, sales activities, and responses to market fluctuations. Meat sales is dynamic and success is determined by the individual’s ability to balance inventory, know and suggest alternate cuts, and work closely with counterparts in production butchery.  The Director of Sales is the face of the company to many of our most important customers, and must accurately educate customers on company products and inspire loyalty.  Reporting to the CEO and COO, the Director of Sales is an integral member of the senior leadership team. 

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all sales staff, lead regular sales meetings, and direct information and staff workflows
  • Develop appropriate measurements and reporting tools reflecting on department performance
  • Perform a full suite of sales and prospecting activities including pipeline management, sales calls, site visits, presentations, and follow-up activities
  • Open new large volume accounts be the point of negotiation with new and current customers
  • Achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values
  • Perform pricing and margin analyses to ensure that changing market forces are appropriately reflected in current product offerings
  • Develop new product offerings and improve existing ones based on company priorities and evolving opportunities
  • Oversee all aspects of information management, communication, and outreach for the sales team
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to staff; ensure continued growth and success of the Sales department.
  • Build and maintain a high performance culture through effective management, communication and collaboration.
 Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in the meat industry
  • At least 5 years of sales experience to foodservice accounts, retail accounts, and/or direct-to-consumer
  • Progressive management experience
  • Persuasive communicator and negotiator
  • Self-starter driven to succeed
  • Team player, positive attitude
  • Keen attention to detail and record-keeping
  • Experience with Quickbooks and Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
