Qualifications
- 3+ years in finance, accounting, and human resources functions
- Degree from accredited institution
- Extensive experience utilizing QuickBooks Accounting software (required)
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite; especially Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with inter-company transactions, or navigating between multiple company files
Responsibilities:
Accounting
- Manage and assume ownership of day to day operations of the finance department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition
- Interact with admissions department and students to ensure timely and accurate tuition payments
- Reconcile multiple bank accounts and ensure accurate communication between company file and point of sale system
- Ensure accurate communication and linkage between payment processor and QuickBooks accounting software
- Calculate inter-company allocations and other adjusting journal entries
- Produce accurate and timely monthly financial statements including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Budget to Actual reports
- Assist with the preparation of financials for filing tax returns, communicating with CPAs, and facilitating annual audits
- Assist with company-wide budgeting and forecasting
- Assume core Human Resource responsibilities
- Facilitate communication with PEO (Professional Employer Organization) and ensure company compliance with labor and other human resources related laws
- Ensure accurate maintenance of all HR related documents including W-4s, I-9s, etc.
- Monitor and report payroll on a bi-weekly basis for approximately ~50 employees
- Communicate with staff at all levels regarding payroll and benefits issues

- Base Salary: Commensurate with experience
