Primary Duties
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions, including detailed records of each donation made from donors, fundraisers and other revenue streams using QuickBooks accounting software
  •  Issue invoices to clients
  • Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
  • Manage vendor communications and negotiation of payment terms
  • Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
  • Conduct the monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts
  • Make adjusting entries in QuickBooks and close out the month
  • Manage cash flow forecast and reports
  •  Manage corporate credit cards and monthly credit card reconciliation
  • Issue financial statements
  • Schedule and participate in Finance Committee meetings
  • Coordinate annual audit process
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the EOO
  • Process bi-weekly payroll using QuickBooks
  • Manage state and federal payroll tax filings and generate payroll reports
  • Manage vehicle and other business property files
  • Manage health insurance enrollment and files
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience
  • Strong attention to detail is mandatory to succeed in this position
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent business experience preferred
  • Priority is given to candidates who are proficient with QuickBooks accounting software
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong computer skills; must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of clients and vendors
  • Possesses tact, diplomacy, and is comfortable working with confidential information
  • Must be able to maintain composure and a high level of professionalism under pressure and while facing deadlines
  • Ability to organize a variety of projects and activities simultaneously
