Job Description Tara Mandala Retreat Center is seeking a full-time, seasonal Kitchen Manager  and 2 lead cooks for this upcoming summer retreat season. 

These positions require strong kitchen, cooking and leadership experience, preferably in a retreat setting. You will be responsible for feeding all staff and volunteers which can be up to 40, as well as the retreat participants, ranging from 15 to 200 depending on registration for each particular retreat. Only vegetarian foods are served during the retreat season so experience with vegetarian cuisine is a must. (Some exceptions will occur during special retreats where a small amount of meat will be prepared for ritual ceremony.) Also, some community members and retreat participants will have significant GF or other allergies, so strict attention to dietary concerns is crucial.

In addition, The positione require the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, superb interpersonal communication skills, willingness to work irregular hours, patience (with the willingness and ability to effectively teach & train unskilled volunteers) and a basic understanding of the Buddhist philosophy as well as a genuine interest working for the benefit of all beings.
