Come live on our 400 acre
biodynamic farm and be part of our team as a summer camp counselor or dining hall staff member. Guide our campers ages 8 to 15 through hands-on farm activities. Through this Waldorf inspired program, campers and staff enjoy long summer days gardening, production farming, working with livestock, arts and crafts, cooking, hiking our hills, swimming, enjoying vegetarian meals and traditional camp activities. We offer residential camps and day programs to children. We have opportunities for House Camp Counselors for children ages 8 to 11, Field Camp Counselors for campers ages 12-15.
All candidates require a genuine love for working with children in an outdoor setting. Experience with and the capacity to lead activities such as crafts, cooking, farm animal chores, gardening and working with various age groups. Counselors need to be able to follow program protocols, manage their time well, have the endurance to work long days, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, an understanding of Waldorf education and place based learning, good communication skills, enthusiasm to work with children on a daily basis including meal time. Our summer Kitchen Staff needs includes a Kitchen Manager and Assistant and 2 Camp Cooks. These candidates must have experience cooking vegetarian meals for large groups of people, being well versed in food allergies and dietary restrictions, creating kid-friendly menus, enjoy working with children, maintain effective sanitation standards, Please visit our website for more specific information.
Counselors and Kitchen staff will be provided with room and board and a stipend. Stipend range from $2000 to $5000 depending on the position. Successful candidates would be available to work June 15 to August
8th. House camp counselors will begin June 22 to August
8th. All candidates need to provide three working references regarding their work with children.
