1034 Mushrooms is a growing indoor-urban gourmet mushroom farm located in South Raleigh - a stone's throw from Boyland Heights and NC State.
Position Description:
We are seeking an apprentice to join our operations.
20-30 hrs a week working for an urban indoor gourmet mushroom production company. Like most farming, this job involves lots of physical labor and heavy lifting so applicants should be able to lift 50lbs or more.
No prior-experience necessary, but a love of learning and an interest in the art of growing mushrooms is a must!
Some possible tasks:

- Lifting bags and moving mushroom bags
- Pasteurizing straw and other substrate
- Cleaning chamber
- Inoculating substrate
- Cleaning equipment
- Learning sterile technique
- Attending farmer’s markets and other events if necessary
- Harvesting and storing mushrooms
