Nana Joes is a small, quickly growing business based in San Francisco. We are a vegan, gluten-free kitchen that specializes in producing granola and other granola products. Our kitchen produces over 1,000 pounds of product weekly and we aim for utmost quality control. We strongly believe in product integrity and take special care in sourcing only the best local ingredients from trusted purveyors in order to create products that we are proud of.
We are in search of a qualified Production Manager to lead our small kitchen team and manage all kitchen production from start to finish. Our business is rapidly growing and we would love to hire someone who desires to grow with us and help continue to help our business grow.
Responsibilities:
- Manage
- Multitask to fill all orders
- Find efficient and effective ways to drive a team in lean manufacturing
- Produce granola, granola bars and cookies
- Precisely Scale all recipes for the week
- Pack boxes and stamp bags for wholesale accounts and farmers markets
- Learns quickly, able to prioritize tasks and think ahead. Organized.
- Excellent communicator. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Responsible for keeping our kitchen incredibly clean. Includes sweeping, mopping, wiping down tables and racks, all dishwashing.
- Will occasionally help with kitchen tasks like: cutting fruit, stickering bags and products, bagging granola and other products.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet for 8 hours.
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday 7am-3pm.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- One year in kitchen management or two years relevant food production experience.
- Strong leadership, organization and time management skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt easily to different circumstances.
- Ability to anticipate upcoming needs, issues, or concerns and is able to solve problems effectively as they come up.
