Chocolatier’s Assistant 

ABOUT: 
FINE & RAW is a fresh, small, Brooklyn based company that believes the future is beautiful. Our mission is to save the world through silliness and chocolate! We craft fine artisan chocolate, take our work seriously and try not to take ourselves too seriously.  

This is a unique chance for a motivated individual with an interest in learning the ins and outs of confectionery production while gaining firsthand experience in making chocolate from the bean.   


RESPONSIBILITIES:     

• Assisting the head chocolatier with the production of our fine confections and the head manufacturer with the production of our fine chocolate batches:
  -sorting beans
  -prepping confection trays
  -preparing batches for the chocolate grinder
  -pouring + garnishing chocolate bars
  -assisting on the enrobing line
• Ensuring product quality and safety.
• Contribute to an environment conducive to spontaneous dancing and idea sharing.
• Demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm for new projects, recipe playing and chocolate tasting parties. 

 
SKILLS:

• Detail-oriented and creative
• MFA in Badassery
• Able to work clean and efficiently
• High motivation, positive work ethic, people skills

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• No previous experience in chocolate manufacturing necessary, although kitchen experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to hustle for extended periods of time.
• Consistent, demonstrated punctuality.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Energetic, organized and professional.
• Capable of random acts of magic.
• Commitment to producing high–quality product and a desire to see continuous improvement.
