Job Description The Education Coordinator assists with planning, development, promotion and delivery of youth and adult educational and leadership programs and events. The position is full-time and is located in Washington DC. The Coordinator may eventually take primary responsibility for youth and young adult programs. The ideal candidate possesses passion for agriculture, rural communities and youth engagement.    

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 
  • Assist with all implementation elements of youth, young adult and adult educational and leadership programs and events.
  • Assist with annual fundraising event at the National Farmers Union convention. 
  • Assist with the development of annual reports, informational, promotional and other program-related materials.
  • Assist with individual and online fundraising efforts.
  • Conduct program outreach through website materials, social media, print and other means. 
  • Serve as camp director of the annual All-states Leadership youth camp.
NOTE: The responsibilities listed are not all-inclusive. Responsibilities may include other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Outgoing, energetic and personable.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable with public speaking.
  • Computer savvy with graphic design abilities (Creative Suite experience preferred), digital photography and editing. 
  • Familiar with social media platforms and interested in social media campaigns and fundraising.
   PREFFERED EXPERIENCE/ATTRIBUTES 
  • Event planning.
  • Understanding of agriculture.
  • Work experience with agriculture, non-profit organizations and grass-roots organizing.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
COMPENSATION Salary range is $45,000 - $60,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Benefit package includes paid health, dental and vision insurances, paid vacation and holidays and a generous 401k retirement plan. Compensation this position is How to apply
