What We’re Looking For:

FoodCorps seeks a highly organized, detail oriented Finance and Operations Manager. Reporting to the Controller, the Finance and Operations Manager will ensure tday-to-day aspects of finance and accounting, operational health and compliance run smoothly. Role  includes developing, documenting and implementing new systems, polices and processes, as well as managing ongoing and financial and operational processes that include: accounts payable and receivable, information technology systems, office management and partner relationships. The Finance and Operations Manager will work closely with internal colleagues across the Organization, as well as with a range of external finance contacts and vendors.  Successful candidates will bring a keen eye for detail, a knack for creative problem solving, an eagerness to learn and a customer service mindset. The Finance and Operations Manager’s day-to-day work will encompass a wide range of activities, so candidates should be ready to take on new challenges and possess the no-job-too-small attitude that employees need to thrive in the fast-paced environment of our rapidly growing Organization.  This is a full-time role reporting to the Controller and is based in Portland, OR. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

Operations Management
  • Manage office organization including ordering supplies, furniture, maintaining a clean, climate controlled office environment;
  • Manage information technology, equipment ordering and ensure phones, internet, printers and all other office equipment are in working order;
  • Manage relationship with outsourced information technology vendor;
  • Manage key vendors including: Box, Salesforce, Nextiva, Google Apps, Egencia, Amazon, FedEx, Endicia, Cornerstone, Apple, Microsoft and Adobe amongst others;
  • Serve as master administrator for @foodcorps.org Google Apps accounts, managing email signatures and listservs and ensuring proper archiving and back-up of closed accounts;
  • Oversee Egencia travel management, including review of staff travel requests for adherence to policies;
  • Direct the filing of all initial and ongoing corporate, fundraising and foreign entity registrations.
 Financial Management
  • Manage accounts receivable, invoicing and collections for external partners and funders;
  • Assist the Controller with administrative tasks such as filing, coding and invoice and receipt management necessary to support our outsourced accounting firm and audit firm;
  • Oversee and execute all government funding billing and reporting in collaboration with external accounting firm, Controller and VP of Finance and Operations;
  • Work with finance and budget managers to ensure accurate general ledger inputs and reporting;
  • Own accounts receivable process including management of Concur Expense Reporting software, management of outsourced accounting firm, oversight of vendor payments and working with staff to ensure policy compliance;
  • Manage all incoming deposits.
 Qualifications and Experience:

Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced training welcome;
  • A minimum of three years of operations or finance management experience or a position with similar responsibilities;
  • Experience working in and providing technical support in an Apple environment;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google, Salesforce and Box or other cloud based technologies strongly preferred but not required;
  • Experience in grants management for public and private funding (experience with AmeriCorps preferred);
  • Familiarity with nonprofit finance and accounting regulations.

FoodCorps pays salaries that are competitive and offers generous vacation and medical benefits, 401(k) matching, professional development funds and a sabbatical policy. This position is a Manager level role with a starting salary range of $47,000 to $57,000.
