Position will require being present on production days, currently Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7am-3pm, and Monday 7-7pm. As production increases, there will be an opportunity to take on more hours. Seeing candidate to begin in late-September. Pay is based on experience.
Asking a minimum of a year commitment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop systems to get, and keep, our factory organized.
- Manage production days (where we pot, label and pack yogurt, labneh and bottle and label our whey) helping us maximize efficiency within the inherently inefficient process of making food by hand!
- Manage production staff, including assisting proprietor with staffing and scheduling.
- Order, track and manage inventory of food products and production/packing materials.
- Complete and update our operations manual for both yogurt making and production/packing
- Communicate challenges, new systems and HR issues to proprietor.
- Experience in food/restaurant AND/OR small business management.
- Working knowledge of Excel (or GoogleSheets) or another inventory management program
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Comfort with basic HR skills, including staff management, hiring and firing.
