Company description A Family Farm & Delicious Food. Little Ghent Farm, home of Made In Ghent LLC,  is a 75 acre farm raising Animal Welfare Approved laying hens and meat chickens alongside woodland heritage pigs and bees. We are a new business and are growing. In addition to farming activities we operate a farm store and a commercial kitchen where we make bread, preserves, baked goods and food-to-go made from our products or from local farms. In our inspiring surroundings we also host entrepreneurial and creatively themed workshops with external experts which we cater and facilitate.  Our plans this year include renting part of our property as a farm-stay for it’s first season. We are dedicated to being as sustainable as possible in as many areas as possible. Community is very important to us so we show many visitors around the farm. We talk to them about what we do and why we do it in an effort to help more people understand the benefits and value of this kind of farming and the choice to buy local produce. In 2015 we started leasing some land to Vida Farm, a start-up vegetable and flower grower selling from our store and wholesale to local businesses. In order to continue with our mission of bringing the old farm back to full productivity we now need to invest in seasonal help on the farm and in the kitchen.
