Citizen Cider is a cidery located in Burlington, Vermont. We are dedicated to the craft of creating quality hard cider using only locally-sourced, whole fruit. Our hard ciders range from dry to sweet and utilize aromas derived from specific apple varieties as well as, but not limited to, unconventional yeasts and bacteria. Job description

POSITION/TITLE: Kitchen Manager
COMPANY: Citizen Cider
JOB LOCATION: Burlington, Vermont
TYPE OF WORK: Full-time, hourly

General Job Description: - Includes, but are not limited to:

Orders and schedules delivery of food and supplies from local vendors
Inspects kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
Ensure proper training of all kitchen staff
Create system for ordering ingredients and supplies.
Create menus
Create schedule for kitchen staff.
Supervise kitchen staff
Work with business manager to track and assess financial performance of kitchen/menu.

Specific Qualifications: -

A minimum of 2 years’ experience of supervising and/or managing kitchen staff and working with inventory and food ordering, in a high-volume kitchen.
A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a kitchen.
Proven ability to lead a team and communicate efficiently, both verbally and in writing.
Exceptional time management and organization skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

This job requires ability to perform the following:

Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Moving about the kitchen in a safe and secure manner.
Handling food, objects, products and utensils effectively and safely.
Bending, stooping, standing and kneeling.
Withstand potential climate temperature changes in assigned work area.
