The Junior Merchandiser is the glue that holds together marketplace promotions. You are the key coordinator between assortment strategy and marketing storytelling. Informed by data and your knowledge of food trends, you will coordinate promotions and features across teams and channels; promotions include marketplace features, holidays and seasonal recipes, among others. You will become fluent in the Good Eggs brand voice and visual aesthetic, using them to guide all written and visual communication in the marketplace. You will also use your editorial vision and data-driven approach to optimize the marketplace for browse/ discovery and functionality.

Major responsibilities: 
  • Create marketplace products and write all product copy
  • Increase product launch velocity
  • Update and implement marketplace style guide
  • QA marketplace; including product names, descriptions, ingredients, photos, price and units
  • Merchandise & promote products in the marketplace
  • Add and manage products in merchandising channels, such as collections, recipes and “What We Love”
  • Use data & intuition to guide promotions, optimize merchandising channels and inform marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate promotions and holidays across assortment strategy and marketing
  • Use data & intuition to optimize marketplace navigation for browse/discovery and functionality
The ideal candidate has:
  • 1+ year of direct experience
  • Experience in food merchandising, preferably in ecommerce
  • Experience using databases and analyzing reports, e.g. Mode Analytics, Google and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in copywriting
  • Knowledge of food, food trends and e-commerce merchandising best practices
  • Outstanding communication and time management skills
  • Excellent analytical-thinker, detail-oriented and results driven
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Ability to understand and engage with new tools and thrive in a fast-paced environment
