Good Food Jobs is about so much more than work. How we spend our days is how we spend our lives. And it's our hope that the days reflect beauty, truth, meaning, and connection.
Last year, we offered the first ever GFJ Holiday Refresh, a series of weekly emails that challenged us to be more mindful and present in our daily lives. It became a grounding thread between Thanksgiving and the New Year. In participants' own words, it:
- "was wonderful...exactly what I didn't know I needed"
- "reminded me what's actually important"
- "gave fuel and camaraderie for making positive changes"
The GFJ Holiday Refresh returns this year to reclaim the holiday season as not only manageable but reaffirming - of our values, our lives, and ourselves. This year, we're coming together as a community to acknowledge that life sometimes gets thrown out of balance, to remind ourselves that we have the tools to make adjustments, and to challenge ourselves to take action toward a more balanced state. We'll explore ways to find steadiness on the spectrum between...
- opposition and understanding
- chaos and alignment
- apathy and participation
- scarcity and sharing
