This is a unique opportunity at a new, one-of-a-kind establishment in Atlanta. Jim Adams Farm & Table will offer soups, salads and sandwiches in an approachable, family-friendly environment. Our goal is to grow 100% of the produce we serve in our dishes. We will operate a year-round greenhouse farm staffed by a team of farmers who grow specifically for our market and café. The successful candidate will work with our farm team to plan a menu that features the city’s freshest, most local harvest.

Job description

We are seeking a well-trained, ambitious kitchen manager/lead cook to head our eatery/cafe. The qualified applicant needs to be able to develop and execute recipes that successfully showcase our fresh produce. Our menu focuses on soups, salads and sandwiches.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Support the Founder in the design and set-up of the kitchen;
  • Prepare menu items for grab-and-go as well as made-to-order service;
  • Develop recipes based on supply of seasonal produce and herbs, including, but not limited to:
    • Soups
    • Salads
    • Sandwiches/wraps
    • Salad dressings
    • Sauces
  • Set systems and processes necessary for the operation of the kitchen with a deliberate focus on:
    • High quality customer service and experiences
    • Optimal revenue
  • Supervise one part-time kitchen support staff, train, assign schedules and duties, track and manage performance;
  • Execute all kitchen functions;
  • Responsible for maintenance of quality standards, sanitation and cleanliness according to best practices and all applicable codes;
  • Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
