Head Cheese Maker Cricket Creek Farm +1 more

  • Date Posted December 11, 2017
  • Location Williamstown, MA
  • Category Agriculture / Culinary
  • Job Type Full-Time
Company Description Cricket Creek Farm is a small grass-based dairy in Western Massachusetts. We make several award-winning cheeses from the milk of our herd of Brown Swiss and Jersey cows (we're currently milking about 37 cows). In addition to the cheese, we sell raw milk at our farm store. We also raise whey-fed pigs and grass-fed beef. We distribute our cheeses through our farm store, local farmers markets, regional cheese shops and restaurants, and through distributors across the northeast. We run a vibrant apprenticeship program for aspiring cheesemakers and farmers.

We are located on a beautiful mountain road on the edge of a small college town in the northern Berkshires. Williamstown has a great independent movie theater, the Clark Art museum, a wonderful theater festival in the summertime and several great restaurants. We are surrounded by preserved land with many hiking trails. Nearby are Mass MOCA, Tanglewood, and many lovely small towns. Williamstown is 3 hours from Boston and 3 1/2 hours from NYC.
