KidsGardening is the nation’s leading resource for school and youth gardening. Based in Burlington, VT, the organization creates opportunities for kids to learn through the garden, engaging their natural curiosity and wonder by providing inspiration, community, know-how and resources. Garden-based learning creates a generation of kids connected to their food and community and engaged in nurturing a healthy planet.

Beginning with 50 youth garden grants in 1982, KidsGardening has benefited an estimated 1.5 million children and contributed close to $4.4 million dollars in funding to youth gardening initiatives across the U.S.

Interested in advancing the youth garden movement with the nation's leading resource for garden-based learning? KidsGardening (KG) is seeking an Executive Director (ED) to join this growing organization in early 2018. The ED is responsible for leading and advocating initiatives that make KG the hub for school gardening nationwide. Working with the Board of Directors, the ED has overall responsibility for setting strategic direction and ensuring KG achieves its mission, goals, and long-term sustainability. The ED must have experience and expertise in all areas of management, including fundraising, program execution, financial management, and marketing communications.
