Neopol Smokery is a small family run business based out of Baltimore MD for over 20 years. We are looking for new team members for our location in the famous Union Market in Washington DC. We offer our artisanal smoked salmon and gourmet sandwiches and salads in a communal bustling market environment. We're looking for associates passionate about food and willing to learn about everything we offer here at Neopol Smokery. The ideal candidate is comfortable around gourmet food and eager to learn about our products and share that knowledge and passion with our customers.

Job description

Several positions are available. Full time and Part time with very competitive pay depending on experience.

-Assistant Manager

-Deli Associates/Cashiers

Primary responsibilities include:

1. Deliver friendly well informed customer service
2. Assist customers with product questions, offering suggestions for purchases and ways to prepare products.
3. Maintain clean stocked displays, in which all products are priced accordingly, labeled properly, and have appropriate signage
4. Check out customers at register
5. Prepare gourmet sandwiches and salads with consistent portion and quality control on a high paced high volume line.
6. Must be able to multi-task and maintain a clean and organized work area.
7. Take direction well and work as part of a small team, but also be a self-starter with initiative and work well on their own.

Prior retail experience is preferred and prior food service experience is required. Must be able to work weekends. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Please reply with brief introduction and resume, Thanks!
