Heidrun Meadery, located along iconic CA State Route 1 just north of the Golden Gate Bridge in Point Reyes Station, is an artisan producer of brut dry, naturally sparkling honey wine fermented and bottled on-site using the traditional French Methode Champenoise. On our 16-acre farm, we manage a small commercial nursery, maintain a bee-friendly horticultural program and operate a commercial beekeeping operation with eight satellite apiaries. We host visitors seven days per week in our greenhouse tasting room. Using our expansive farmscape as a stage, we provide our guests a unique opportunity to experience the entire natural ecology of honey wine, “from flower to flute”. We strictly maintain an unpretentious attitude toward wine and our hospitality and atmosphere can best be described as farm-friendly, educational and respectful. Our business is growing and our tasting room is thriving, attracting a diversity of engaged and engaging visitors from around the world.

We are looking for a part-time person to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have professional experience in hospitality, the wine industry or the natural sciences and be energetic, enthusiastic and an excellent communicator.  Candidates must be able to work weekends, be interested in being involved in all aspects of this business, maintain flexibility in a very dynamic environment and enjoy periodically strenuous physical activity. Our job performance standards are high.

DETAILS:

• This is a part-time position (3 days/week, must be able to work weekends).

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50-pound case boxes frequently during the day.
• Tasting room or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Compensation based on experience and skills.
• Hourly rate + tips + commission
