GAMECHANGER CASHIER/FOOD RUNNER
Successful applicants will have:
• Have a high school diploma, or equivalent (preferred)
• Minimum of 1yr experience in food service desired, but not required
• Customer service focused and solution oriented
• Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers
• Strong math and communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the stadium event schedule including: extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Responsible Alcohol Training will be required of all employees
• All employees must pass a comprehensive background check
JOB OVERVIEW
The cashiers and food runners at Gamechanger are often the only people that our guests interact with. Cashiers must greet customers as they approach the cash register and be polite with customers during the transaction. It is important that all cashiers have a positive attitude, friendly smile, are familiar with all menu items and pricing to effectively complete financial transactions and answer questions from customers and are organized, neat and clean. The cashier/runner is responsible to provide customer service. Prepares and serves a variety of menu items. Sells items and collects payment and provide correct change to the guests. All concession stand employees report directly to their assigned Manager.
General Responsibilities
• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting customers and completing their transactions
• Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Game Changer menu and products
• Suggest additional items to customers, as appropriate
• Assist with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and offering assistance as needed
• Support other areas of the restaurant as requested, such as running food, stock work and cleanup
• Perform basic math functions to collect payments and make change
• Operate registers and credit card/debit card terminals
• Maintain accurate cash drawer
• Take a tally of the funds in the cash register when required during a shift and produce transaction reports
• Prepare concession stand areas with paper goods, condiments, beverages, and food items as needed in convenient and accessible locations including condiment carts.
• Monitor theft in the location and report incidents to managers
• May be required to count ending inventory levels before end of shift.
• Able to perform arithmetic operation involving all United States monetary units (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
• Interacting with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards, company inventory and cash control procedures.
• Report safety hazards discovered in the location to management immediately
• Completion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the management team
• Adheres to Red Beard Restaurants Company guidelines as stated in employee handbook
Job Qualifications
All applicants must:
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have prior cash-handling experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
• Posses the ability to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company standards
• Have the ability to multi task in a fast paced, team orientated setting
• Be able to work fluently in English
• Have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including: constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
• Meet state and local health requirements for food handlers and alcoholic beverage services
• Be able to lift 20 lbs
• Able to understand and follow directions given by management
