Through partnering with local farmers, farmer-owned manufacturing, and grocers, we sell local food year-round through retail and foodservice channels. Job description

Seal the Seasons is building a new supply chain for a new local foods brand. We're turning the modern supply chain on its head by sourcing, processing, packaging, and selling all of our product in the local region it was grown. On top of that working with small growers is important to us... we want to build supply chains that every farmer with the right food safety can sell through.

We are looking for passionate, organized, process oriented individuals with strong communication skills to help us scale and formalize our supply chain. Our brand current operates in 2 regions and is scaling to 7 local supply chains in the next 12 months. Be ready for a challenge!

 

The successful applicant will have the ability to fluidly preform the below tasks:

  • The coordination, organization and execution of ensuring ample produce is secured, harvested and shipped per the agreed upon timelines.
  • Develop, maintain and foster both new and existing relationships primarily with growers, suppliers, co-packers, and secondarily internal and external stakeholders.
  • The capability to master the tactical and influence the strategic activities that support a proactive, professional and customer focused procurement process (Ensuring effective management of all contracts and agreed upon commitments and timelines.)
  • The ability to expand the current stable of partners to fuel the rapid revenue and footprint growth
  • The aptitude to maintain an accurate and transparent picture of direct material spend and costs and providing effective communications to stakeholders at all levels and functions across their business. A clear understanding of gross margin calculation.
  • Possess excellent communication skills intertwined with ability to negotiate and influence coupled with a highly disciplined, ethical approach that allow you to build strong relationships across the business and externally.
  • The ability to work with a wide range of diverse personalities types.
  • Familiar knowledge with good manufacturing practices and manufacturing food safety practices.

 

Compensation this position is : salaried, varies DOE, $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 Application instructions
