Assistant to head cheese maker in metro Atlanta. We can teach you the unique skill of cheese making, affinage and more. We are currently looking for someone to assist with cheese making, packaging and order fulfillment in our state of the art facility in metro Atlanta. A background in culinary arts, food science or food production is desired, but not necessary. Complete training will be provided, if needed, for the right individual.  Familiarity with GMPs and food sanitation would be required once hired. The ability to multitask and share responsibilities for overall plant operation with other team members is also desired. Extended periods of standing and lifting would be required. Assistant cheese maker/ packaging  responsibilities would include:
1. Assisting with weekly transfer of milk into plant.
2. Assisting head cheese maker with weekly production of cow and goat milk cheeses.
3. Detailed cleaning of all cheese equipment and record keeping.
4. Overseeing affinage or finishing of cheeses in aging caves.
5. Packaging weekly orders for either shipment or local delivery.
6. Cheese perks - Atlanta Cheese Festival, Marketing Events, Free Cheese
