Food Educator for Children Spoons Across America

  • Date Posted June 26, 2018
  • Location New York, NY
  • Category Education / Nonprofit
  • Job type Part-Time
Company description

Spoons Across America,® the recipe for healthier children, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating children, teachers, and families about the benefits of healthy eating. We work to influence the eating habits of children through hands-on education that celebrates the connection to local farmers and the important tradition of sharing meals around the family table.

At Spoons Across America, we believe the best approach to good nutrition is to encourage children to lift up their spoons, excite all their senses, and taste new healthy foods. Our programs actively engage children to use all of their senses through hands-on experience and direct observation ‒ appearance, texture, scent, and taste. Through our programs, children become independent and inquisitive taste-explorers.
