Cheese Making Apprenticeship Temple Wilton Community Farm

  • Date Posted August 27, 2018
  • Location Wilton, NH
  • Category Agriculture / Culinary
  • Job type Internship/Apprentice
Company description

Temple Wilton Community Farm is a small biodynamic CSA farm that started in 85/86. We are the oldest continually operating CSA in the United States. Our farm grows vegetables and raises livestock animals for meat and dairy. We have around 20 milking cows. Besides milk, the small creamery on site offers 13 different types of cheese and yogurt.

We are committed to our community, which includes the animals and the land. Cows keep their horns, which are an integral part of their being, and live on pasture for as long as weather permits. Grass for feed, compost for fields, and ingredients for planting come from within the farm as much as possible. Rather than work within a profit driven model, we strive to work sustainably with the land for the betterment of our community as a whole.
