The Cafe
The Café is a modern and eclectic style fast-casual restaurant centered around community, art, and innovation. We are located in vibrant downtown Norwich, CT in a beautifully restored 19th century library.
Our Environment
The feel of The Cafe is inviting, laid back, and service-quality driven with a focus on local and artisanal products. We are looking to bring members on to our team that feel like family, love to work hard, and take care of people. The café is the cornerstone of downtown Norwich and will provide the residents of this charming town with modern and healthy fast-casual restaurant concept.
Our Food & Drinks
Our focus is on perfectly executed locally-sourced rotisserie meats and vegetables with fresh and healthy salad and sandwich options to compliment the entire menu. We are conscious about serving everyone feel-good food and strive to innovate our menu on a seasonal basis. We are very thoughtful about ingredients and look to use farm fresh, high quality items without GMO’s, high fructose corn syrup, and preservatives wherever we can. We serve artisanal coffee and tea, organic sodas, breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, ice-cream, unique and delicious rotisserie meats and vegetables along with a full-service craft beer, wine and spirit bar.
We are looking for someone we can make a long-term partner over time. We want to add an executive member on our team with a strong culinary background and passion for food with 5+ years of restaurant leadership experience. We need someone who is willing to dig deep with us into the daily details to own and operate with success, but who can also help with strategically building the brand and our infrastructure for long term sustainability. It is important for us to have a like-minded individual who cares about our customers like we do, has a passion to serve high quality food, and treats all people with humility, care, and respect. We are looking for someone who is a connector, is business savvy, has a passion for cooking, a good eye for hiring, ability to train effectively, strong analysis and decision making when it comes to P&L and COGS management, and can lead a team with a positive attitude and warm spirit.
