Job description

We seek a Team Manager to oversee our exceptional warehouse team in Shipping, Picking, Packing, Receiving & Warehouse supervision. Managing the operational performance targets of a small team you will also ensure the accuracy and quality of their work, that safety standards are achieved and the team meets its operational efficiency targets.

 

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be seen as a leader but also be willing to get hands-on and develop the people around you and grow capability within the team. Your ability to coach, develop and encourage others will be a key part of this role.

 

To be successful at Natoora, we are looking for the following:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
  • Ability to work in a time-constrained environment, maintaining accuracy and keeping deadlines
  • Manage your function effectively on a day to day basis meeting production & quality targets
  • Have an excellent eye for detail with regards to quality and problem solving
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and present them concisely and professionally
  • Ability to develop, coach, train and encourage others
  • Rigorous management of policies and procedures, whether food safety, warehouse standards or HR policies
  • Be a hard working and energetic individual willing to grow and meet challenges
  • An interest in working with the best seasonal fruit and veg will be an advantage
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2 yrs experience in supervising other employees
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment – preferably in the food business desirable
  • Clean driver’s license, ability to drive commercial vehicles (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, data entry and/or other computer systems
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, proficient email skills
  • Be reliable, professional, and efficient
  • Be able to work both as an individual and as part of a team
 

This is a full time position and most shifts are 3am to noon but may vary over time according to the needs of the business. Our operating hours are 2am-6pm, 6 days/week, Monday through Saturday. Shifts will include work in refrigerated environments for extended periods of time.

Please note: The Production Supervisor will work on a variety of tasks beyond their formal duties. While we are looking for someone who already has relevant experience, we want someone who will grow with us. Over 95% of our managers are promoted from within.
