Job description MatchaBar is hiring an Operations Manager to manage and execute the operations involved in the production of our CPG product lines. This is a full-time position based in Greenpoint Brooklyn. This position will oversee and manage the production of both glass and canned RTD products. We are looking for an individual with direct experience to work closely with the MatchaBar team as they continue to ramp up production of their RTD beverage business across the country. This individual must be highly organized, friendly, a self-starter and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Travel will be a large component of the job as they oversee factory visits and production runs on both coasts of the country.

In particular, you'll focus on the following buckets: fulfilling orders, forecasting demand, sourcing, quality assurance, product development, and mastering your COGs!


Key Responsibilities
-Purchasing ingredients and packaging supplies based on production needs
-Creating ingredient purchasing forecasts based on sales forecast
-Negotiating contracts and pricing with vendors
-Ingredient audits, and mock-recall
-Manage contract documentation
-Traveling to co-packing facilities for production runs
-Monitor contract expiration dates and renegotiate when needed.
-Managing relationships within the company and with external parties, such as vendors and distributors

-Proactively address vendor, product, and supply chain problems ensuring that the right products are in the right locations at the right times in the right quality and quantity and at the right price.
-Develop and sustain relationships with our freight and warehousing partners.
-Coordinate logistics for wholesale orders
-Price analysis and comparison of ingredients and packaging material
-Collect and maintain specification sheets and COAs for all ingredients and production runs
-Work closely with accounting teams to track and report COGS on a run by run basis.
-Coordinate supplier contract negotiation and supplier onboarding for innovation projects
-Onboard new items and suppliers by gathering the final product and price information and finalizing and managing launch timelines
 
Job Requirements
-Bachelor’s Degree
-2+ years of experience in F & B operations and/or supply chain management
-Prior experience managing vendors strongly preferred
-Prior experience in beverage operations preferred
-Thorough understanding of material specifications data
-Proficiency in MS Office and Google-suite tools, Enterprise w/Inventory

Management hands-on experience
-Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
-Ability to produce and present clear status reports in a tactful and candid
manner
-Ability to multitask
