Daily tasks for the Marketing include: Coordinate restaurant and experiential event marketing and social media along with the Community Manager. Oversee and manage media requests for restaurants and experiential events, serve as the in-house public relations/communications contact for both. Work closely with our experiential event partners on all aspects of programming, sponsorship and marketing; work with the MSG development team on branding, marketing and PR for new restaurants.

Specific duties include:

Restaurants/MSG:

  • Content capturing at restaurant events (taking photos and videos)
  • Review and approve the social media conversation calendar created by the social media coordinator
  • Review and approve images and marketing materials created by Community Manager
  • Vet incoming requests for media interviews and productions that take place in the restaurants
  • Create marketing strategies for the restaurants and chefs
  • Oversee strategy and activity by the company’s outside public relations agency
  • Manage restaurant social media pages by updating photos and information, responding to online reviews and guest messages
  • Provide creative direction on newsletters (topics, style, format, etc), draft messaging and provide final approval for each newsletter before it’s distributed
  • Occasionally assist with creating and executing special events at the restaurants including pop-ups
  • Participate in pitch decks and strategy for potential upcoming restaurant projects
  • Manage strategic community and non-profit relationships

Experiential Events:

Sales
  • Assist in creating the sponsorship levels and packages
  • Create target list – paid and in-kind
  • Assist with outreach for sponsorship and media partners, coordinate internal MSG resources
  • Attend meetings with Sales team as needed

PR

  • Main point of contact for PR
  • Review strategy, plan and timelines
  • Project manage the timeline and deliverables

Marketing/Social Media

  • Assist in creating the strategy, plan and timelines
  • Project manage the timeline and deliverables with Community Manager
Event Production
  • Assist in developing event concepts overall
  • Work with Production partner to create event schedule for festival – taking all feedback into account
  • Curate talent, restaurants, vendors, artists, etc for events
  • Provide on site supervision
  • Coordinate between events and MSG internally
Website/Ticket Sales
  • Work with Media team to on website creative including ticketing

Budget

  • Work closely with Production Partners on overseeing the event budget – set monthly meetings to review budget – real vs. projected

Growth

  • Continue to network to develop new potential sponsors, donors, participants, marketing partners, etc
  • Develop new potential lines of Experiential Event businesses for MSG
 


Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Corporate hospitality experience highly preferred
  • Will be required to work a flexible schedule
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent 
  • Must be able to simultaneously work on multiple projects
  • Must be punctual with all required deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills 
  • A team player
