We are looking for an Assistant General Manager for our fine dining Italian restaurant in the Rockridge district of Oakland.

Candidates must have the following qualities:

• Excellent work ethic
• Minimum one year prior restaurant managing experience
• Italian food and wine knowledge
• Ability to direct, train and mentor staff
• Ability to hold a high standard without being pretentious
• Desire to elevate service and foster a positive work environment
• Ability to work in collaboration with the kitchen and general manager

 

Duties include

• The Assistant General Manager will help manage all aspects of operations to ensure guest satisfaction, continued growth, and to serve the growing Oliveto community
• Coordinate and manage all private events
• Manage the floor for lunch and dinner service
• Assist with payroll
• Manage POS changes, wine list and inventory
