Quality Driven Chef Manager for Q.S.R. (FOH & BOH supervision)
 

We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and hardworking Chef Manager to operate our DeKalb Market Hall location.  Full weekend availability is required.  While previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate.
 

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • An experienced restaurant chef or possessing equivalent experience
  • Must be able to seamlessly shift into any BOH or FOH role as needed to support day-to-day operations
  • Exceptionally organized and able to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Highly comfortable supervising staff, identifying areas for improvement, and working collaboratively with Culinary Director to achieve or exceed quality standards of food and service.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about food, beverage, and hospitality
  • Punctual, dependable, friendly, cooperative, energetic, and team-oriented
  • Productive: able to manage one's own time as well as that of the team at large
  • Creative, adaptable, and solutions-oriented
  • Interested in growing with the company
  • A skilled and articulate communicator
  • Passionate about food and eager to support our mission

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supervising prepared foods staff members
  • Working with Culinary Director and Director of Operations to achieve specific sales, merchandising, workflow, and labor goals
  • Work with cooks in a hands on manner, ensure food is cooked, served and merchandised in line with Foragers brand standards
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations of entire Foragers space, specifically regarding production, inventory management, storage and labelling, customer-facing signage, and merchandising of all foods
  • Ensure that department is operating in compliance with health department regulations and coach staff members on correct protocol as needed.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and help coach current staff members on points of service
  • Work collaboratively with senior management and supervisor to create a fun, productive, and cooperative work environment for all staff members
  • Communicate staff and customer issues to Culinary Director and Director of Operations and assist with problem-solving solutions.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Foragers brand at large
  • Minor HR work such as employee onboarding and payroll reporting


Food Handlers license and weekend availability required
