We specialize in raw milk, small batch, cave aged cheeses. Yes, we have a cave! We are the only cow's milk artisanal cheesemakers within 100 miles of San Antonio. We have a strong partnership with our farmer - Four E Dairy of Moulton, Texas. We drive to the farm every week to get our raw milk.
We are one of the anchor vendors for The Pearl Farmers Market in San Antonio and we participate in Saturday and Sunday Markets, rain or shine. This is our only market outlet. All other sales are wholesale to chefs, restaurants, hotels, cheese shops, and direct ship to home sales to the customer. Job Description We are looking for an employee who has some culinary background, either education or other work experience. We need this employee to be able to work in the creamery, work at farmers markets, make the milk run, package cheeses, work in the cheese caves, etc.
The work is challenging but fun! You will learn about cheese science, attention to detail, grading and tasting cheeses, food safety protocols, cooking with our cheeses, customer service skills, etc.
This position can easily grow into a full-time position based on experience, work ethic, and availability.
