Job description

We are seeking an experienced, talented, and energetic Food and Agricultural Sciences teacher to complete the 2018-2019 school year in our middle school division. The Food & Agricultural Sciences Teacher will collaborate and co-teach with the current Food & Agricultural Sciences Teacher to design and teach classes in grades 5-8 and work alongside students in the kitchen classroom and roof top garden. Additionally, the Food & Agricultural Sciences Teacher will demonstrate an understanding and passion for the program’s core curricular objectives: to understand the story of our food and how it impacts our environment, human health, and our communities. Students graduate understanding the complexity of our current food systems and its remarkable growth and expansion as well as its failures. They explore topics around the challenges with climate change, food waste, natural resource usage, biodiversity, social injustices, human health and consumer responsibility.

Compensation this position is : hourly, $15/hr + Application instructions
