Haven’s Kitchen Sauces are a new product line from Haven’s Kitchen, a cooking school in Flatiron, NYC. Originally founded as a recreational cooking school, Haven’s has grown into a multi-hyphenate business. The sauces are an extension of both our mission to support home cooking and our growing brand.

Currently available at NYC Whole Foods, Fresh Direct, Foodkick, Gourmet Garage and a few other retailers, Haven’s Kitchen sauces are poised to enter dozens more doors and open up several new distribution networks in 2019. A completely new segment in grocery, HK sauces are fresh, refrigerated, globally-inspired, and packaged in pouches. Vegan and gluten-free, HK sauces can be used as a finished sauce or as an ingredient, making meal prep convenient and fun for the consumer. Job description Haven’s Kitchen Sauces is seeking an energetic, strategic Director of Sales. Reporting to the Founder, she/he will be responsible for contributing to and executing our national sales strategy, including maintaining our selling deck, category review timing, retailer meetings, and trade and promo calendar and spending. He/she will be responsible for broker engagement and management of the broker and field marketing teams. This is a hands-on role that requires a leader that is comfortable managing a small team, working in an “all hands on deck” atmosphere, and has the ability to operate both tactically and strategically. 


Roles and Responsibilities

Sales
• Responsible for scheduling, preparing for, and presenting new item/retailer presentations and category reviews
• Work directly with CEO to develop future sales strategy and forecasts
• Source, interview, onboard, and ultimately managing either a national or regional broker network to help achieve the company’s sales goals
• Responsible for all sales including retail, foodservice, and online channels
• Work with the founder to develop best in class sales presentations
• Manage all internal Haven’s Kitchen sales team members

Trade/Field Marketing
• Work with CEO and Director of Operations to define and track trade budget
• Manage internal HK Field Marketing team which handles execution of in-store promo and demo efforts through 3rd party companies.
• Build brand into category leader in key existing placements

Financial
• Work with Haven’s team to build out 3-5-year budget model and refine external facing deck
• Scale trade spend as year goes on reflective of actual results

Requirements
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Power Point capabilities
• Employee and broker management experience
• Has managed key sales relationships
• Has experience in analyzing sales data
